Portraiture

Image
Portraiture is the art of taking portraits, it is supposed to represent who a person is. Posed photography is self explanatory. It'a a portrait of someone in a posed, or staged position. Posed photography helps set up a story of the subject. Candid Photography taking a picture of someone in the moment, when they are unaware they are being photographed. This captures how someone acts, and the nature of the subject This portrait is staged, the stare into the camera gives that away. The man looks like he is wearing a jacket, and is sitting down. The background is out of focus, which emphasizes that he is the subject of the portrait. It's shallow depth. It appears to be natural light, but its hard to tell because the image is black and white. The shallow depth caused the blurry background, which emphasizes the lines, especially on the face and in the hair. My Portraiture Photos Headshot Waist Up Full Body

Choose One

Image
I decided to choose autodraw, because I found it the most interesting of the choices. Im going to draw a terrible bear and google is gonna fix it. This was my base bear. Very simplistic, but not what I was going for. This is the challenge, I cannot draw anything above a 5th grade level. This is how google fixed it This was the finished product. I kept the hand drawn trees because I liked the way they look more, The bear looks really good. The thing I liked the most about this project was the simplicity. The AI was able to take a terrible drawing, and turn it into a cool bear. I think the final product is a good drawing, while its not the mona lisa it is a cool bear with some trees.

Reflection and Warped Images

Image
10 things used for reflection and warped images: Glasses Mirrors Water Binoculars Windows Magnifying Glasses Bubbles Instruments Metal sheets Buildings (made of glass and such) I'm going to use a toy plane as my focal point, and use the mirrors, glasses, and other reflective items in class to take the pictures. Landon is the focal point of this picture, he's holding up a magnifying sheet which distorts his face and makes it larger. For this picture I used the back window of a car to reflect the plane. The shadow cast by the plane makes it look like it's going to land. For this I used a pitcher of water, and put the plane in the water. This cause the front to appear much larger. For this I took a picture of the plane in front of a darkened window, which allows for the color of the plane to still be shown in the reflection. For this I put a glass block in front of the plane, and a mirror behind it. The plane looks warped, and elongated behin

Playing with Panorama

Image
5 Hints for Panoramas: Lock Camera Settings Practice movements Small Aperture Overshoot and Crop Use Panorama mode if available For my camera you just use panorama mode to shoot. 3 Panoramas For this one, I had Braden move with the camera, I had an issue with speed, occasionally going too fast. In this I had Braden stand still, and move at the last second, which caused an interesting effect Braden just stood still here These were the three panorama's I took. I think the bottom one is the best. The cloning was interesting but it didn't work. The bottom one looks the best to me, it had good lighting, and the speed was good. Imay have cut it off a little early though.
